Via is a new generation of Content Management System which will ease content production and administration in your organisation

The interface is intuitive
Via is built around a new interface model which makes it easier for users to produce and edit content. The system uses principles which users are already familiar with from other programmes or operation systems. Content is organised logically in folders using drag-and-drop, actions may be performed on several elements at the same time, short-cuts are implemented, and the editor is similar to the Microsoft Word editor. This minimises the need for support and education of users, and users may instead spend time and effort on producing content of high quality.

Publishes several sites in several languages for several channels
Content is handled in many dimensions. As an example, a document in the system can contain several language versions and be presented in different devices – browser, phone, on print and more – by using more than one Publishing Channel. This makes it easier to work with international sites and cross-media publishing. Via may also contain several sites, and maintenance of your organisation’s online activities is therefore handled by only one tool, disregard you want to publish for intranet, extranet or website.

International sites
When editors work in different time zones with different characters and keyboards, and when visitors are also placed in different time zones and understand different languages, it set requirements for the CMS. The system manages in which parts of the world editors are placed, and all dates and times are therefore converted from the local time of the indivdual editor to GMT. Because of this, it is of no importance in which time zone an editor is situated or where the server is placed. Via will manage this. Via will also manage international characters, and it will therefore never be a problem to maintain content in different languages.

Standard software og development platform
Via uses well-known technologies such as Microsoft .NET 2.0 and open standards such as XML, XSLT and web services. Because of this, it is easy to expand the system with new modules or integrate to other systems, for example ERP or CRM. Via is implemented in Microsoft .NET 2.0, and developers have access to the CMS framework which contains classes and methods for expanding the system – for instance by developing new modules.
