20 March 2006

Key words: content management, digital asset management, enterprise management, cross media management, print publishing, catalogue publishing

Synkron is one of the leading players in Scandinavia for content management systems (CMS). Facing the market reality in which content management systems slowly grow to full scale enterprise content management (ECM), Synkron has signed an agreement of co-development with Alfaprint, a leading player in digital asset systems. Synkron and Alfaprint recognise the complementarities of their respective software systems and the need to grow to full scale ECM solution to serve the customers.

Alfaprint has received growing customer demand during 2005 to integrate its DAM system with leading business solutions on the market, CMS as well as ERP systems. The agreement with Synkron is the first one in a row with CMS partners.

The agreement includes an exclusive marketing and joined partnership for the Nordic region as well as an open technology agreement for a seamless integration between Synkron CMS and ADAM: single sign-on and user management, cross-media content management from portal content, over product data management (PDM) to print publishing such as brochure and catalogue printing.

The combination of the expertise, Synkron on CMS and Alfaprint on DAM, will offer the customers in the Scandinavian market a very strong proposal for a complete cross media enterprise content solution (ECM). The ECM system will be completely branded Synkron, and the ADAM system will be licensed under an OEM agreement to Synkron.

Since ADAM is an open system integrating easily with standard ERP systems on the market, the Synkron ECM system will be the first solution building CMS-DAM and ERP into one enterprise platform.
