Norwegian Yellow Pages choose Synkron
10 August 2005
Synkron A/S has just concluded its largest agreement with the Norwegian Internet Service Provider Active24 on delivering CMS solutions for the company behind Yellow Pages in Norway, Findexa ASA. Findexa expects to convert between 2,500 and 5,000 customers to Synkron’s CMS, Synkron.web, within the next 2-3 years.
"We have been working on this agreement for nearly 9 months and are very satisfied with the result," says CEO, Poul Henrik Søjberg, Synkron A/S. "The agreement represents a double-digit million in value over the next 3 years and, as far as I know, it is absolutely the largest agreement of its kind within the CMS industry in Scandinavia so far."
"The agreement is a visible result of the efforts which we have made to find new marketing channels for our software seeing that the prevalent partner channel has been under strain lately. Expectations are that the coming years will present new types of agreements of similar character," says CEO, Poul Henrik Søjberg.
With this agreement, Synkron will capture the absolutely largest market share within CMS in Scandinavia – a market otherwise characterised by large fragmenting within the individual countries.
Since the conclusion, the agreement has already resulted in nearly 100 new customers in Norway and Sweden, which indicates the potential of this contract. The agreement will not largely affect the result of the turnover this financial year. The results of the agreement will not be significantly visible until the coming financial year.
Synkron is the largest producer in Denmark of Content Management Software (CMS), software for handling and structuring content on websites, extranets and intranets.
The company has nearly 40 employees and had a turnover of 3.4 million EUR this past financial year.
